Joram is a short form of Jehoram, and the passages use both.
King of Israel, son of Ahab and Jezebel, also written Jehoram. He followed his brother Ahaziah, who had no son, and reigned twelve years. Scripture says he did evil, though not like his father and mother, for he put away the object of Baal worship his father had made. Yet he held to the sins of Jeroboam. With Jehoshaphat of Judah he marched against Moab, and Elisha foretold water and victory. He was wounded fighting Hazael of Syria at Ramoth Gilead, with Ahaziah of Judah beside him. While he recovered in Jezreel, Jehu shot him in his chariot and had his body thrown onto the field of Naboth.
