About
Born Saul in Tarsus, a Pharisee and Roman citizen who zealously persecuted Christians. On the road to Damascus a blinding light knocked him down and he heard Jesus ask 'Why do you persecute me?' He was converted and became the Apostle to the Gentiles. He undertook three missionary journeys across the Roman Empire, founded churches throughout Asia Minor, Greece, and beyond, and wrote at least thirteen New Testament letters. He was imprisoned multiple times and tradition holds he was executed in Rome.
