About

From Lystra, son of a Jewish-Christian mother (Eunice) and Greek father. His grandmother Lois also had great faith. Paul chose him as a traveling companion and he was circumcised to avoid causing offense to Jewish communities. Paul referred to him as 'my true son in the faith' and sent him as his representative to various churches. Paul's two letters to him give pastoral advice for leading a congregation.
