About

Prophet in Jerusalem during the reigns of four kings of Judah. He received a vision of God enthroned in glory with seraphim. He is known for breathtaking prophecies of a coming servant-king and suffering servant — chapters cited extensively in the New Testament as fulfilled by Jesus. Called the 'Messianic prophet,' he prophesied the virgin birth, the ministry of a servant, and the redemptive suffering of the Messiah centuries before Jesus' birth.
