About
Hebrew baby saved by his mother by placing him in a basket on the Nile, where he was found and adopted by Pharaoh's daughter. Raised as Egyptian royalty, he fled after killing an Egyptian who was beating a Hebrew slave. God called him from a burning bush to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. He performed miracles, confronted Pharaoh with ten plagues, led the Exodus, received the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai, and mediated God's covenant with Israel. He spoke with God 'face to face, as one speaks to a friend.' He died on Mount Nebo before entering the Promised Land.
