Joshua

Military aide to Moses and one of twelve spies sent to scout Canaan. He and Caleb alone gave an encouraging report and urged Israel to trust God. After Moses' death he led Israel across the Jordan River into Canaan. Under his command the walls of Jericho fell and Israel conquered and distributed the Promised Land. His final challenge: 'Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve.'
