"Now will my husband be joined unto me" (Genesis 29:34).
About
Third son of Jacob and Leah. He and Simeon avenged their sister Dinah by killing the men of Shechem. His descendants became the tribe of Levi — the priestly tribe set apart for service in the tabernacle and temple with no territorial inheritance of their own.
