Moabite woman who married a Hebrew living in Moab. After her husband's death she pledged remarkable loyalty to her mother-in-law Naomi, declaring 'Where you go I will go.' She returned to Bethlehem, gleaned in Boaz's fields, and eventually married him. She is a great-grandmother of King David and is listed in the genealogy of Jesus.
