About
Son of Zebedee and brother of James, fisherman. One of the inner circle of three. He is traditionally identified as the 'disciple whom Jesus loved' in the Fourth Gospel. He wrote the Gospel of John, three epistles, and Revelation. He leaned against Jesus at the Last Supper. Jesus entrusted his mother Mary to John's care from the cross. He was one of the pillars of the Jerusalem church and spent his last years in Ephesus.
