Bathsheba

Wife of Uriah the Hittite until King David saw her bathing, sent for her, and committed adultery with her. When she became pregnant David arranged for Uriah to be killed in battle. The prophet Nathan confronted David, who repented. Their first child died, but their second son Solomon became king. She is named in Matthew's genealogy of Jesus.
