Nebuchadnezzar

The mighty king of Babylon who besieged Jerusalem, destroyed the Temple, and carried Judah into exile. He set up a golden image and threw Daniel's three friends into a blazing furnace, only to see them saved. Daniel interpreted his dreams; after boasting in his own greatness he was humbled to live like a beast until he acknowledged that 'the Most High rules the kingdom of men,' then was restored.
