Felix

Roman governor of Judea who heard Paul's case at Caesarea. He was well acquainted with 'the Way,' yet when Paul reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgment, Felix grew afraid and dismissed him, hoping for a bribe. He kept Paul imprisoned for two years to grant the Jewish leaders a favor before being succeeded by Festus.
