Nehemiah
About

Cupbearer to the Persian king Artaxerxes who wept and prayed when he heard Jerusalem's walls lay in ruins. He received the king's permission to go and rebuild them. Despite fierce opposition and threats from enemies like Sanballat and Tobiah, the wall was rebuilt in just 52 days. He also instituted social reforms, forcing cancellation of debts to the poor, and later returned for religious reforms.
