About

Wealthy, righteous man described as blameless and upright who feared God and shunned evil. Satan challenged God that Job only served Him because of his prosperity. Job lost his wealth, children, and health in rapid succession, yet refused to curse God. Three friends offered bad theological explanations for his suffering. God spoke to Job from a whirlwind, and Job's fortunes were restored double. He is a model of patient endurance under suffering.
