About

Called the 'weeping prophet,' he received his prophetic call as a young man and ministered to Judah for over 40 years. He warned repeatedly that Jerusalem would fall to Babylon because of Israel's unfaithfulness, but was ignored, mocked, and imprisoned. He witnessed the fall of Jerusalem and the destruction of the Temple. He also proclaimed a coming 'new covenant' God would write on hearts. He wrote both his book and the book of Lamentations.
