About
Judge of Israel who defeated the vast Midianite army with only 300 men armed with torches, jars, and trumpets — a victory God designed so that Israel could not claim credit. He tested God's call twice with a fleece of wool. He refused the Israelites' offer to make him king. Also known as Jerub-Baal.
